Uber Driver Demonstrations Scheduled For May 8th
Note: This is a live and ongoing thing and I’ll keep this post updated as I find more demonstrations coming up to May 8th. Please reach out to christian@hustleby.design if you are planning a driver demonstration and I’ll get it listed below.
I’ll be down at Uber HQ tomorrow to talk to drivers and to cover the demonstration. Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to get a recap tomorrow’s events at 7PM of the demonstrations throughout the day.

As Uber plans to IPO, groups of drivers are organizing a coordinated demonstration throughout the US on May 8th to protest their working conditions. The coordinated actions are being led by a combination of grassroot driver organizations and labor-focused NGO’s.
Driver demonstrations are presently confirmed for the following cities;
- Los Angeles
- San Diego
- San Francisco
- Chicago
- Boston
- Stamford CT
- Philadelphia
- Washington DC
- Seattle WA
